The story of Day One starts in a song with the same name by Matthew West. This song has always reminded me to live each day as the first day of the rest of my life because I’m forgiven and have a clean slate through Christ every day. I feel that the song has a special meaning on your wedding day as well.

Your wedding day is the first day of the rest of your lives together, that’s why we throw big parties and celebrate the happy occasion. Sometimes, though, when you look back at that day in all its glory you remember the stress and chaos with moments of joy sprinkled throughout. That’s where I come in. I truly enjoy event planning and the orchestrated chaos that comes with it. Let me handle the details so you can actually look back to remember the magic and blessings of that day, not madness.

“It’s day one of the rest of my life. It’s day one of the best of my life. I’m marching on to the beat of a brand-new drum, yeah, here I come. The future has begun. Day One.”

When I first started planning my wedding, I wondered if I could do without a planner or day-of coordinator. I never imagined what all goes into a wedding! My husband and I were married in early November, and Abby was absolutely fantastic!! She went above and beyond on so many things both before the wedding (like arranging for a lapel mic when we realized we didn't have one TWO days before) and throughout the rehearsal and the wedding day. I cannot fathom having done this without her. She also knew when things needed to be handled/managed, like politely whisking away the couple from chatty well-meaning family so that they can be on time for photos. Abby seemed to anticipate any needs, and she seemed to be everywhere at once! She really helped to take pressure and stress off my family. She is worth many times over what she charges. I highly recommend her!
